I’m an IT graduate focused on data engineering and AI. I build pipelines that bring data in, clean it and check it before it reaches a dashboard.

I write down what each step does, so the next person can pick it up.

Experience

New Island Technologies, Midrand. 2026 to present

I build data pipelines with Kafka, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory, then check the output in Power BI Desktop and Grafana before anyone relies on it.
I work with RAG systems, where the quality of the source data decides whether the answers are any good.
I built an approval step so a person signs off before an automated action changes anything.
I write up completed tasks and technical changes, and work through code review feedback from senior engineers.

FNETT, Polokwane. 2025, one year

I led the backend migration from PHP to Node.js and Express.js. That meant tracing how data moved through the old system and confirming the new one returned the same results.
I worked to defined requirements and coding standards, and asked colleagues and stakeholders when a requirement was unclear instead of guessing.
I worked in an Agile team alongside React and Angular frontend developers, with regular code reviews.
